ANNUAL SURVEY OF PHILANTHROPY IN HIGHER EDUCATION
2018 Findings and Discussion: Unpacking the conditions leading to the pattern in philanthropy funding to South African universities
The Annual Survey of Philanthropy in Higher Education (ASPIHE) reports on data collected from 11 South African universities reflecting the state of philanthropic support to higher education institutions.
Inyathelo invites you to a presentation on the Findings for the 2018 ASPIHE Report based on 2017 data. The initiative introduces a robust mechanism for collecting reliable and consistent data, making it increasingly possible to discern and analyse trends in philanthropic income to universities. The presentation will be followed by a discussion on the findings and the way forward for the ASPIHE.
The speaker, Dr Sean Jones, is the Managing Director of EduActive Solutions and has extensive experience within the university and civil society sectors providing advice on Advancement operations to over 30 universities. He has also worked in evaluation, project development and capacity-building roles for both donors and grant-seekers.
